LEVEL 1 TRAINING - For alarm salespersons and installers / technicians.

The National Security Association provides state approved Level 1 Alarm Training Courses. The courses are approved for mandatory training requirements for the states of Texas and Louisiana.

The training course consists of the teaching of basic skills in electronics, safety, ohms law, circuits, control panels, general programming criteria, sounders, keypads, motion detectors, light beams, fire alarm systems, basic design, testing, cctv, alarm monitoring, radio and cellular transmitters, communicating with public, and ethics.

The course is conducted over two days, from approximately eight to ten hours each day. Students are encouraged to participate in discussion and to ask questions. Although the course is basic, it also provides an excellent refresher course for more experienced alarm personnel, for both salespersons and installers / technicians.
